The chainrings from Absolute Black are CNC-milled from one piece of aluminum and then anodized. This ensures a stiff and durable chainring. They were specially developed for the 1x12 Shimano HG + drive. The chainrings have optimized teeth that prevent the chain from jumping off. The principle follows that of the Shimano chainrings. In conjunction with a Shimano Shadow + rear derailleur, which has a greatly increased cage preload, the chain is reliably held in position even without a chain guide.
The ovalization of the chainring increases the performance by varying the drive train and optimizing the resistance. When kicking with the legs, the natural strengths and weaknesses are brought into harmony. In this way, better use of the stronger muscle groups is achieved and a balance is created in the weaker muscles on the way to work (lower stroke).
This chainring is specially designed for the 148 millimeter BOOST standard. The 3 millimeter offset optimizes the chain line for BOOST rear structures.
